What countries and sectors do you invest in?
The three primary countries that we invest in are Ghana, Kenya, and Nigeria. We also consider opportunities in four secondary countries: Ethiopia, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Uganda. VestedWorld invests in three sectors that we view as essential to the growth of any developing country: Agribusinesses, Consumer Products & Services, and Technology-enabled businesses.

What advice do you have for startups looking to raise capital from VestedWorld?
We like to meet entrepreneurs early in their startup journey. It is important for us to get to know the management team well and track the company’s progress overtime. We also help startups in our pipeline by making introductions to other investors and providing strategic support.

What type of investment structures do you invest in?
VestedWorld invests in both equity and convertible debt.

Does VestedWorld lead investment rounds?
Yes, we lead about 70% of the rounds we invest in.

What role(s) do you play in the companies that you invest in?
During the due diligence process, we work with management to identify key areas that will be essential for the long term success of the company and identify areas where we can add the most value. We help our portfolio companies across fundraising, strategy, financial planning, marketing, and introducing them to potential customers and partners. VestedWorld has a board seat on a majority of the companies that we invest in.
